Being a person of character means having patience, gentleness and being honest.
(1) One way that I am patient is to stop and think before I react to something that upsets me. For example, if a child speaks disrespectfully to me, I need to remember that children are still learning respect. This helps me to not get angry, but teach respect calmly.
(2)Another character trait I try to show is gentleness. One way I show this is in referring to people as honey or dear, sometimes even "girly". By using these gently words I show I care for the person I am speaking to.
(3) Finally I show good character by being honest. I saw a good example of this in class today. Even when a group of boys were caught talking and could of lied about it, they chose to be honest and 'fess up. This showed me they had good character.
There are so many more traits of good character I am trying to show each day I teach you "lovelies".

I do think that those three describing words, (patient, gentle, joyful) really show what good of a person I am.
Patient means that when someone is taking a long time and you have to wait for them. Kind is when you are always nice to you.
Forgiving is when someone did something wrong .

Me being a person of character I am truthful, forgiving, and joyful.
1) First of all, when someone wants me to tell a lie, or I am tempted to myself, I stay truthful.
2) Secondly, I am forgiving to people-even when they are not sorry. For example, when someone gossips about me or lies to me, I forgive them-eventually.
3) Finally, It is very rare to see me not joyful. If I don’t show it, I feel it inside! Like, once I could not sleep until late, but in the morning I wasn’t tired. I’m trying to be truthful, forgiving, and joyful each day.

Being a person of character is being kind, funny, and merciful.
One way I am kind is I offer to put in a movie when my parents are busy. Another is I open doors for people. Being kind means you do this often.
Another one is being funny. There are lots of ways I am funny like telling weird jokes that don’t make sense. I can do funny tricks and make up silly names for them.
Sometimes I can be merciful, by not making a big deal when people cut me in line. When my brother hits me I say “That’s ok”, and walk away. And sometimes when my dad tells me to clean my room I just do it.
