When Sarah Nita and her sister lose their parents it sounds heartbreaking.
Also, to walk and walk knowing where to go only by the sun souns frusturating and hard to survive through.

when her parents got taken away it made me feel very very sad because...
- she may never see her parents ever again.
-also she and her sister are all alone with nobody to help them but thier dog silvercoat.
-they are also very very hungry and their dog is almost starving.

My event is when the soldiers attacked the canyon.I felt scared. Because that is her new family. I thought she might lose her secondary family. That is why I felt scared.

The time that their parents got taken by the soldiers. I felt excited because I did not know if they would see their parents again. Also, I did not know if their dog was going to bite them.

When sarah nita, her cousin, and her sister were taking a bath in the pond or a big puddle her cousins brother saw all of them naked. I was filled with luaghter.
Swift pony was his name and he was fine that he saw them naked but the girls weren't.
the girls were going to remember that day for a long time because every time they take a bath or shower they will remember the day they were seen naked.

I felt sorry for Sarah Nita when her family got taken away by the soldiers.
I felt sorry because i couldn't imagine having my whole family taken away but my sister and being left all alone.
Also they had no shelter because there house got burned down plus they had no food.

Wow, Mrs. Hartney's class, you are doing some great learning these days! I really like your blog and hearing your comments about this book. It is great to see how many of you are able to empathize with Sara Nita, it helps you understand and comprehend stories better when you can make connections like that. Nice work!
